I co-founded an interaction design firm in New York focused on web strategy, user research, and complex application design. I both led and delivered projects, in a variety of industries, while also maintaining client relations. In addition to project delivery, I was also responsible for finances, IT, and contributed to all aspects of the firm – strategy, sales, marketing, and operations. In July 2006, I moved to Australia to open the Sydney office.

Led design teams to create large-scale web solutions, and worked closely with clients to define projects and ensure solutions met business objectives and user needs. Responsible for the information architecture on all projects and worked closely with developers to deliver projects on-time and on-budget. Select clients:

Responsible for creating usable interaction designs for complex systems, including applications for logistics, legal document retrieval, medical records search, building fire control panels, and bank customer service. Designed both web-based applications and desktop software. Also managed projects for time and budget, in addition to designing the creative solution. Select clients:
Jun 1996–Nov 1996
Designed a Windows “unified messaging” application through an iterative, user-centered design process in an energetic startup environment. The challenge was to combine a usable speech recognition interface and a graphical interface. Worked directly with developers and quality assurance team to realize the product.
