About the Project

The United Airlines redesign project followed a complete Web strategy and research project. The scope of the redesign was:

  • Design and implement an initial digital brand identity
  • Design a more usable information architecture and navigation system
  • Edit existing content on the site, categorize it, and add new content as necessary to improve readability and navigation
  • Develop all pages of the redesigned site

Originally, the implementation would be limited to static HTML (no CMS). This changed when everyone realized how silly that was.

My role on the project

I acted as the lead information architect and helped conduct participatory design, and led the effort to develop the organization and navigation system. I worked closely with the designers to develop the modular visual design. I also worked with the engineers in implementing the site.
